Cookie Policy
This policy explains the cookies used by the Saving Grace Education Community at community.savinggraceeducation.co.za, and how you control them. It supplements our Privacy Notice, which explains everything else we do with personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”).

What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. It lets the site remember something between one page and the next — that you are signed in, or that you have already answered the cookie banner.
Every cookie this site uses
We keep this list short on purpose, and it is checked against an actual scan of the site rather than copied from a template.
Strictly necessary
These are needed for the site to work. They are set without asking, because without them the site cannot do what you have asked it to do.

Analytical — only if you agree
These help us understand which parts of the community people actually use, so we know what to improve. They are not set unless you accept them on the banner.

Google may process this information outside South Africa, including in the United States. Google Analytics is configured to exclude everyone who is signed in to the community, so members’ browsing of the forums is not measured.
Functional and marketing
We currently set none. This community runs no advertising, no advertising cookies and no social media tracking pixels. If that ever changes, this policy and the banner will change first.
How your choice is respected
When you first visit, a banner asks what you agree to. Your answer is recorded, together with the date and the country the request came from, so that we can demonstrate that consent was given — as POPIA requires.
We also use Google Consent Mode. In plain terms: your answer on the banner is passed to Google’s tags directly, so if you decline, they do not set analytics cookies. The banner is not decoration — it controls what actually runs.
Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time:
- Use the small consent icon on the site to reopen the banner and change your choice
- Or clear this site’s cookies in your browser, and the banner will ask you again on your next visit
Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and there is no penalty for declining — every part of the community works exactly the same either way.
Controlling cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies through its settings, usually under “Privacy”. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you being able to sign in.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no agreed standard for how sites should respond to it, so we do not rely on it. Use the banner instead — it is unambiguous and we honour it.
