What Saving Grace Education costs

Last reviewed 23 August 2026

The short answer

A once-off registration fee of R1 050, then a monthly or annual tuition fee that depends on the grade and curriculum — from R1 438 a month for CAPS Grade R–3 up to R2 530 a month for Grade 12. Grade 10–12 learners also pay SACAI fees separately.

These are the published fees for 2026. Everything below is per learner.

The registration fee

R1 050, once off, non-refundable. It is paid when you enrol and is not part of the monthly tuition.

CAPS curriculum

Grade Per month Per year
Grade R–3 R1 438 R17 250
Grade 4–6 R1 725 R20 700
Grade 7–9 R2 070 R24 840
Grade 10–11 R2 300 R27 600
Grade 12 R2 530 R30 360

Tuition includes video lessons, quizzes, worksheets and activities, digital assessments and termly reports.

Cambridge curriculum

Stage Per month Per year
Reception–Year 3 R1 610 R19 320
Year 4–6 R1 840 R22 080
Year 7–9 R2 070 R24 840
Year 10–11 R2 875 R34 500

Includes video lessons, interactive worksheets, assessments, quizzes, trackers and four report cards a year.

Special Needs and Remedial

Between R1 725 and R2 875 a month (R20 700 to R34 500 a year), depending on the grade.

SACAI fees for Grade 10–12

These are separate from tuition and catch families out, so plan for them:

  • Grade 10 and 11: R252 registration.
  • Grade 12: R13 500 to R14 500 for seven subjects, plus examination venue fees.

All SACAI fees — registration, subject and venue — must be paid in full by the end of May for Grade 12 learners.

Assessments only

If you teach at home yourself and need only formal assessment and marking — no curriculum, no video lessons — the per-term fees are:

  • Grade R — R1 380
  • Grade 1–3 — R1 725
  • Grade 4–6 — R2 243
  • Grade 7–9 — R2 703
  • Grade 10–11 — R3 220
  • Grade 12 — R4 485

Paying

There are monthly payment plans, a once-off annual payment that carries a discount, and term-by-term arrangements. Which apply depends on the curriculum you choose.

What is not included

All digital resources come through Canvas. CAPS learners may still need to buy specific prescribed textbooks or set-work novels. One-to-one tutoring and extra lessons cost extra.
