The short answer
A reply marked as an Official Saving Grace Response is the school speaking, not an individual opinion. Where an official response and any other reply disagree, the official one is authoritative.
Community forums have an old problem: a confident answer and a correct answer look identical. In a school community that problem has consequences — a parent can act on something that was never school policy at all.
The marking
Replies from Saving Grace staff can be marked as an Official Saving Grace Response. Marked replies are visibly distinct, carry the name of who marked them and the date, and every marking and unmarking is recorded in the moderation log.
What it means
It means the school stands behind what the reply says, as of the date it was marked. If something later changes, the reply gets updated or the marking is removed — it does not quietly stay authoritative forever.
What it does not mean
An unmarked reply is not wrong. Most of the best advice in this community comes from parents who have done it, and no member of staff can offer that. It only means the school has not formally endorsed it.
If a reply contradicts something you were told
Say so in the thread, or send it as feedback. A contradiction between an official response and something a family was told elsewhere is exactly the kind of thing the school needs to know about.
